My plan is to add 2X140mm intake front case 2x140mm exhaust top case. I have seen lots of opinions about airflow (positive, negative, etc.:) but all of them are more focused with AIO and radiators. However, if I put the AIO on the top instead of on the front section, I could use 8 120mm fans instead of the 3x 140mm fans which are included with the case. Hi, I am about to order 4 noctua NF-A14 140mm fans and one Noctua NF-A12x25 for my Corsair 275r case. With the 3 140MM fans contained in the AIO 420mm and the 4 additional one's it looks like that will occupy all available spots. Corsair has gone the same direction as everyone else putting lighting on both sides (QL Fans). Rotating the entire fan 180° is not an option to me because it has a very nice red trim rings infront of it, so if i rotate it entirely would put the trim rings to waste. Not to mention people taking the fans apart that maybe are not up to it. Due to its placement in my case, it will be pulling air from the direction that would disrupt proper airflow. Currently have the 360mm but plan on exchanging it for the 420mm model. That's always going to create problems with airflow design and the frame may not be the same on both sides. I could also use a 360mm one if that would be better. I can give more details about the system if necessary but the main things I want to keep cool and the case they will be in will be (listed so you can know there will prolly be some significant heat) The most common setup for cases is to intake air from the bottom front and exhausted out the top and back. This time I am doing a deep dive into the best way to keep my system as cool as possible. The Direction of Airflow: The airflow can be directed into the case from a few different ways as long as you remember rules 1 & 2 above. The way I have set it up is that I placed the radiator on the top, 3 fans in the front, and one fan in the back. Connect 3 ML fans+RGB to commander core. My case is Corsair Airflow 4000D, CPU Cooler is Arctic Liquid Freezer II 240mm (Kept the original fans with it), and I have 4 Noctua NF-P12 redux-1700 PWM case fans. Just wanted to verify a few things to make sure I got everything correct. 7 hours ago, Corsair Nick said: Hey, thank you for the reply. airflow over the wing introduces an error which varies with changes in the angle of attack and hence with changes in speed. Threw some fans in there and a Cooler Master CPU fan. Corsair H150i elite capellix+9 fan set up diagram - help. My first I did I didn't put a lot of thought into it.
